President & CEO

As founding principal of Palmer Properties since 1978, Spiro leads the team and focuses on the execution of current projects and the creation of new opportunities. He is known for his commitment to building strong relationships and lasting partnerships while improving the options local businesses have to operate in. Under his leadership, Palmer has developed and managed in excess of 1 million square feet of office, retail, and mixed-use projects. Spiro is also known for being actively involved in the community, playing key roles in several local non-profit organizations.


As Director, Partner, and Employing Broker for Palmer Properties, Jim’s focus includes acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations. He plays a lead role in the management of the entitlement process, due diligence, and overall project investment analysis. Jim holds a degree in Real Estate Finance & Construction Management from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.

Director | Partner

As Director and Partner of Palmer Investment & Development as well as Director at Cushman & Wakefield, Aki oversees the entire portfolio of commercial and retail development and investments.  He specializes in structuring partnerships with both silent investors and owner/users to maximize leverage and minimize risk. Aki holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate & Finance from Colorado State University.

V.P. of Operations

Shane Hamm is the V.P. of Operations for Palmer Properties. He oversees the operations and accounting departments within the organization. Prior to joining Palmer Properties, Shane was an entrepreneur owning an HOA management company, providing business and financial consulting for local businesses, and acting as Director of Finance/General Manager for Larch Industries (a local industrial insulation company). In these prior endeavors, he was responsible for financial reporting, strategic planning, treasury, and operations.
Shane serves on the Board of Directors for Life Stories (a local charity supporting children in challenging situations). Shane has completed a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He also holds certification in international strategy from EDHEC in Lille, France. He is an active father of 3 children, spends his winter times in the mountains and summers doing Spartan and other obstacle course events.

Amy gibson
HR & Marketing director

Amy serves the company and its employees as the Human Resource and Marketing Director. She brings 20 years of HR and Office management experience to the team. Amy holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and was a paralegal for 5 years in southern California. Amy has returned home to Northern Colorado where she enjoys paddleboarding, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Miller

As Palmer Properties’ Controller, Jennifer oversees all aspects of the property accounting process. She works closely with the property managers to produce accurate monthly financial reporting packages for ownership.   She holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from John Carroll University and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Tom Hoogendyk
Tax and financial advisor

Tom joined the Palmer Team in 2020, bringing with him over 45 years of accounting and consulting expertise. He has extensive experience in real estate taxation, tax strategy, tax protests, strategic planning and implementation, investment, networking, company expansion, and merger & acquisition consulting services. He has directly served over 800 businesses in Northern Colorado alone.

Denise Beck
Staff Accountant

Team 1

Denise joined Palmer Properties team in 2022 as a Staff Accountant having recently moved from South Florida to Fort Collins. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in property management accounting for commercial real estate and residential association properties which included the completion of financial reports for clients and Board of Directors. As a team member, she looks forward to supporting Palmer’s property managers and accounting staff. In her leisure time, she enjoys trailing in the beautiful mountains and exploring the many places Colorado has to offer.

Rebecca comes to Palmer with over 20 years of property management experience. Her family has moved around a bit due to her husband's military background but settled down in Fort Collins in 2014 so their daughter could attend CSU. She holds a master's degree in business administration and a Colorado Real Estate License. Rebecca has managed a multitude of different properties, to include residential, multi-family, hospital, and commercial buildings. In her free time, she and her husband like to go to the movies, attend local food classes, and explore the Colorado mountains.

Savanna supports the Palmer team as our Commercial Lease Analyst supporting tenants, owners, and the operations team in overseeing and managing lease terms and details, as well as supporting AR and property account details. She is a graduate of the Stephen F Austin State University, where she holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Nicole Big Crow
Administrative Assistant

Nicole is originally from Western South Dakota and made Colorado her home four years ago. Nicole brings 20 years of experience in accounting and customer service to the Palmer team. On personal time Nicole enjoys weight training and long drives through the mountains.


Construction Manager - Partner

As Palmer Construction Services Construction Manager, Mike facilitates all of our construction projects including tenant finishes, property renovations, and capital improvements.  In 2022, Mike became an official partner in Palmer Construction Services. Mike holds a degree in Accounting from Central Washington University and is a licensed General Contractor.

Megan Russell
Construction Project coordinator

Megan supports Palmer’s Construction Division with a focus on project coordination and administrative operations. She brings 20 years of experience in construction coordination, management, and business operations along with a lifelong connection to the Colorado construction industry. As a Fort Collins native Megan is proud to be a part of improving and building her hometown and greater Northern Colorado community.
